My review

I read Loving the Mountain Man by Jeanette Lewis in one afternoon! This was one that I didn’t want to put down until the whole plot was resolved. It was such a great book, but it really is a great length to be able to read quickly.

This one is a little different in that you learn about the hero first. I don’t know why, but it seems like most books start with the heroine. I liked Ledger. His lifestyle is a little out there for me, but it works for him and his sweet daughter. I loved Aubrey and the way she just really needed a female in her life to show her the way to grow into a woman. Brynn was really sweet with her.

Brynn’s character is so great! I love that she’s a small town girl at heart, but she’s living and working in San Clemente, California. She thinks her life and world are one way. But then she goes home to Montana for a bit of a rest and realizes that she really wants something completely different. I think this really mirrors real life, I know there are tons of times that I’ve wanted one thing only to discover that the one thing wasn’t what was best for me at all. Going home, Brynn sees Ledger again and she falls for him hard and fast.

This book has a cute plot. There’s not a lot of twists and turns. It’s really just a fun, sweet, romance that you can read quickly and think about afterwards over and over. If you’re looking for a great summer read, look no further than these My Heart Channel Romances, they’re all great!

I was sent a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
