About Love for Keeps

love for keepsCity home inspector Kendall Nomellini follows rules to a fault. As a single mom of a high school soccer player, she has no choice but to plan her time to the minute—fitting her work, education, and future goals into a tidy, no-surprises schedule. What’s not in her plan? Falling for the worst soccer referee in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Why would she when she knows from experience that the perfect man doesn’t exist?

Between owning a successful business and running a fulfilling charity, former MLS goalkeeper Zeke Hartford’s life is working out just fine. Except time and again, he crosses paths with the spitfire club coach who has no problem telling him exactly where he falls short. And while the beautiful home inspector could easily throw a wrench into his professional life, he’s intrigued enough to win her over.

Can Zeke change her scowls to smiles and her criticism to compliments? It’s a challenge he’s willing to take—on the pitch and off—but is Kendall willing to play his game?

My review

This is the first of the new Sports Moms Romance series that I’ve read. And I’m excited to get to read more and more of the books in this series!

I loved reading this book! The characters were some of my favorites. Maria Hoagland does such an amazing job with her characters. They seem real, like you could find them in the soccer park closest to you. I loved the plot of this one as well. There’s tons of fun romance that you won’t want to miss!

Let’s start with Kendall. She’s a single soccer mom who sometimes has to help coach her sons team. I loved the way she was such a spitfire. She’s not going to let anyone walk all over her. And that does a couple of things for her. Sometimes it gets her into trouble. But sometimes things work out for her benefit. Things like Zeke noticing her.

Zeke’s character is probably one of my very favorite hero I’ve read lately. I loved the way he was humble enough to not take Kendall’s criticisms at the beginning personally.  He’s a good guy, always trying to give back, not at all like Kendall’s ex-husband. I loved the way he was always willing to work with Kendall’s son, Drew and his friends with their soccer game. There are so many fun things that Zeke does for Kendall. I loved the way he was always looking out for her.

This book is so great! If you love clean contemporary romance books, this will be one you will love!

I was sent an e-copy of Love for Keeps as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
