Holidays at the Disneyland Resort – Disneyland Park

Beginning November 8, 2019, Disneyland Resort will deck the halls for the Holidays. All the festivities will continue through January 6, 2020, allowing for lots of time to see and do everything on your list. 

  • A Christmas Fantasy Parade: Line up along Main Street, U.S.A. to watch as Disney Characters and Santa parade by. A Christmas Fantasy Parade will have floats reindeer, toy soldiers and snow-loving Characters such as Elsa, Anna and Olaf. Look for Mickey, Chip & Dale and other pals as well.
  • “Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular: Taking place over Sleeping Beauty Castle, this magical show includes not only fireworks and Holiday lights but snow, too!
  • “it’s a small world” Holiday Lighting and Decoration: This attraction will undergo a very festive makeover during the Holidays. The tune we all know and love will be complemented with Holiday music, and the building’s exterior will boast a light show every 30 minutes.
  • Haunted Mansion Holiday: Have you ever wondered what the mansion would look like if someone new to the Holidays decorated? Well, when Jack Skellington, the infamous Pumpkin King, takes over the Haunted Mansion it gets a new look. He’s joined by Sally, Zero, Oogie Boogie and more in this temporary overlay.
  • Winter Time Enchantment at Sleeping Beauty Castle: The castle will dazzle with limited-time decor such as lights, evergreen garlands, wreaths and more during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort.

As with any visit to Disneyland, the travel experts at Get Away Today recommend downloading the free, official Disneyland app. It offers an interactive map that will help you navigate all the special events and attractions during the Holidays at Disneyland Park, and you can check show times and the locations of Disney Characters as well.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort – Disney California Adventure Park

As part of the Holidays at Disneyland Resort, Disney California Adventure Park also transforms into a winter wonderland. Look for the following November 8, 2019 – January 6, 2020.

  • Disney Festival of Holidays: Celebrate the Holidays with inspiration from a number of different cultures with festive food, limited-time performances and special guests such as Santa Clause.
  • Festive Foods Marketplace: Vendors throughout Disney California Adventure Park offer up limited-time food and drink in honor of the Holidays.
  • Disney ¡Viva Navidad!: Donald Duck, Panchito and José Carico, also known as the Three Caballeros, will lead a mariachi-inspired street party with music, dancing and big puppets.
  • Santa’s Holiday Visit: The Holidays at Disneyland wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa! You’ll find him at Redwood Challenge Trail.
  • Ride Overlays: In Cars Land, Mater’s Jingle Jamboree and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl offer temporary, Holiday-themed overlays for guests to enjoy. Soak in the seasonal music and decor at Mater’s Junkyard and with Luigi’s dancing cars.
  • Buena Vista Street Holiday Tree Lighting: Each day in front of Elias and Co. you can catch the Holiday lighting of a 50-foot tree that will definitely get you into the spirit of the Holidays.

One seasonal offering at Disney California Adventure Park can be enjoyed January 3 – 6, 2020. Three Kings Day is hosted in Paradise Gardens and celebrates the 12th Day of Christmas. Also known as Epiphany, Three Kings Day is a multicultural celebration with Latin American roots.
