Love in Honor Given
His brother may love the thrill of discovery, but Radley Obrien cares about Abraham Lincoln’s lost gold mine for one reason: the money. But as he searches for the treasure map in the sprawling Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois, Radley realizes he’ll need an insider’s help.
Skye Benson spends her days guiding tours in period costumes and has learned that hoop skirts are overrated. When Radley joins her tour, she’d drawn to the rugged stranger and agrees to help him look for the map. As their feelings for one another grow, Skye and Radley must decide if love is a fair trade for a secret gold mine.
But they’re not the only ones looking for the gold. As the team edges closer to the treasure, they discover everyone has a secret and friends can become enemies in a blink. The clues to the map are there, but can they put the pieces together in time?
If you enjoy stories like Indiana Jones and Dan Brown, you’ll love the fast-paced adventure and sweet romance of Lincoln’s Lost Gold Romances.
I am loving these Lincoln’s Lost Gold Romances! This one picks up where Lucy McConnell’s For Heroes Proved ended. I loved the way it switched from the perspective of Bridger to the perspective of Radley. I wouldn’t read these ones out of order, that would be confusing.
Radley is an interesting character. He’s an engineer, but his job has just been downsized. That made it the perfect time for him to start looking for Abraham Lincoln’s gold. I really loved the way his perspective shifted throughout the book. At the beginning he’s really just in it for the money. But as things go along, he starts to care about the history of things and why Lincoln could have done things the way he did. And it doesn’t hurt that he met Skye.
Skye is a tour guide in the Lincoln Museum in Springfield, Illinois. Her job really piqued my interest. She spends her days in the middle of tons of history, including historic dresses.
I loved the cute story these two characters share. But I also really love the historic element coupled with the danger of the situation for them. There’s some one else after the gold and they don’t want to play fair!
I just finished this one and I already can’t wait for the next one, Brotherhood Tested! There’s a link below to pre-order it. I hope it hurries up!
I borrowed a copy of Love in Honor Given with my Kindle Unlimited Subscription. All opinions are my own.
