About Love Off-Limits

love off-limits

Tyler is hard enough to resist. Put a baby goat in his arms? Oh, I’m a goner.

Romance is the last thing on my mind when I meet Tyler at a wedding.

Yes, he’s gorgeous. Yes, we have instant chemistry.

But I can’t go there with him. I’m too busy convincing my skeptical parents I’m ready to run our family farm to give Tyler’s smoldering smile a passing glance.

Fine. I glanced. And possibly . . . kissed.

But then I went home all the way in a different state. See? Crisis averted.

Until Tyler shows up in North Carolina looking for a job. Of course, I give him one. We’ve already established I’m terrible at resisting his charm.

It’s a disaster waiting to happen, really. Tyler doing manual labor within easy sight of my office window. Me trying NOT to randomly tumble into his arms. But no matter how cute he looks holding a baby goat (or how much I wish I was that baby goat), he’s off-limits until I earn my dad’s trust.

The trouble is, there’s always a risk when you push away something good. If you push too hard, you just might lose it forever.

My review

I love a good rom com! And Jenny Proctor writes some great ones. It was fun to see characters from her previous books. And the characters in this one were fantastic too. And the baby goats!!! This book made me smile so much.

Olivia is the main female lead. I loved the way that she and Tyler met at a wedding and just hit it off. But their lives were not going to align at that time. So after an amazing night they went their separate ways. Both thinking of the other. I loved how Tyler called her Liv, so that’s what I’ll call her. Liv lived on this amazing family farm. I want to go visit it now. For sure! She was a strong character and knew what she wanted. So it was hard for her when things weren’t working the way she wanted them to.

Tyler. He worked for Isaac at Random I. His quitting scene was so amazing. One of my favorites. It was fun to see him grow from city boy to farm hand in this book. He was obviously so in love with Liv. And he showed it by backing off when she needed him to.

There are a couple of content things you might want to watch out for. There is some language, nothing major. Just farm words. There is also a couple of men that get married. Again. It’s not a big deal, but if you’re super sensitive, you may want to know that up front.

I loved this book! And I can’t wait for this author’s next one.

I was sent an e-copy of Love Off-Limits as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.
